Why compost collapse instead of avoiding or fixing it?
When we allow collapse to compost in our bodies, our systems, our relations — something shifts. Collapse is no longer only destruction; it can become generative.
And this matters: collapse is not going away. The very systems we created: food, medicine, energy, finance, mobility; are unraveling all around us.
Composting collapse lets us meet this reality not with panic or pretense, but with a different stance: presence, humility, creativity and reciprocity.
Through somatic practice, play and collective reflection, we’ll explore:
✨ How collapse shows up in our bodies, emotions and spirits
✨ Ways of staying present without collapsing ourselves into collapse
✨ Collapse and creation as entangled — composting decay and fertility together
✨ Giving voice to the forces that shape us — Productivity, Pace, Reciprocity
This is not a strategy session.
It’s an invitation to sit in the warmth of compost, where endings and beginnings co-exist, and where uncertainty itself can be fertile.
Sessions include:
🔒 Confidential: Insiders — an introduction to a new anonymous organising model already reshaping whole industries.
🎬 Climate Storytelling & Film — explore climate grief, rage and satire with award-winning filmmakers developing a new eco-thriller.
🌱 Why Compost Collapse Instead of Avoiding It? — a somatic, playful reflection on endings as fertile beginnings.
📍Hosted at The Good Hotel London, a floating social business on Royal Victoria Dock that reinvests profits into community projects, trains unemployed locals in hospitality, and supports education abroad.
⏰ 19:30-21:00, Tues 21 Oct
🎟Tickets are donation-based (as little or as much as you like – no judgement!).
